DuBai
Dubai is the largest and most populous city in UAE. It’s a destination with mixture of history and modern culture. A must visit place for shop-alcoholic (Although I am NOT!).A 5 hours journey from New Delhi lands you to the Arabian Desert. This was our birthday time. Celebrations were on my mind. The weather was hot but not humid. Hence it was comfortable. Dubai is a place where you can find – The tallest, the largest and the biggest. World’s best cars can be seen here with best traffic rules. It’s a strict country in terms of law and order. Ferrari, Lamborghini, Camaro, Rolls Royce Mercedes, BMW and Maserati all best cars are here. We had a booking at “Hotel Rove”, walking distance from “Dubai Mall”- the largest mall in the world by total area. The thing which I loved the most is the “Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo”. It has variety of fishes and it’s a great experience. There is variety of food options as well as shopping options. The Dubai Fountain is also mesmerizing. The view of the colorful fountain from the world’s tallest building “Burj Khalifa”. The light show on the walls of Burj Khalifa is wonderful. Our tour (for a week) included the following things:
City Tour
Jumeirah Beach- Burj Al-Arab hotel (only 7 star hotel in the world) is located here
Views of the white marble dome and minarets of Jumeirah Mosque
Visit of Dubai Museum- Shows the rich history and their dedication to make Dubai
The Palm - Atlantis Hotel – the manmade island
Mall Of Emirates
Dubai Mall
Burj Khalifa
Dhow Cruise Dinner
The perfect experience of a moonlight romantic dinner. The cruise (a wooden one) glides silently along the creek with the amazing view of the old town. The kababs and fish served to us were very tasty. You can also order some wine and sheesha to add to your romance.
There is also a small cultural Tanoura dance (ancient form of Sufi dance performed in Egypt.)
Aquaventure -Atlantis-The Palm
Best Water Park in Dubai
Thrilling water rides
Adventurous 60-foot almost-vertical drop from the top of the world-famous and iconic Mayan Temple
Lazy River and currents
Dolphin encounters
Lost chambers aquarium – you will have a jaw dropping walk through the glass tunnels. Sharks, stingray, lobsters, piranhas, jellyfishes and the tiniest of seahorses are just some of the creatures which will make you spellbound
Desert safari
We were picked up from the hotel at around 2 pm. We were ready for the dune bashing and camel ride.
Belly dancing, Henna painting, Shisha, Quad bike – these all combined to be a unique experience.
Arabic coffee, Fresh Dates, Buffet dinner (the food was very tasty) all made our tummy full.
Metro day – (Self planned)
We took an all-day pass for a metro and travelled from one corner to other crossing the high end buildings.
We went the gold souk – a place full of ornaments
We also visited the Ibn Batuta mall (took some Dates, dry fruits, famous chocolates)
Walked around 2-3 km on the roads just to take the feel of the city.
We usually spent our evenings in Dubai Mall (We never found the gate from which we entered !)Food variety is great for vegetarian and non-vegetarian both.
Dubai has plenty of option for adventure. Skydiving, Desert camping and reef and wreck diving all will make your journey thrilling. Also if you are lucky enough you can see beautiful exotic pets (cheetahs, lions). Although it has been banned after 2017(Click here) in their premium cars. From beach to desert, from buildings to souqs (small shops) , you can find them all in Dubai. If you can extend your tour, you can travel to Ferrari World-Abu Dhabi to make your body twist and turned.
It is very rightly said “Money can’t buy happiness?? Habibi, Come to DUBAI- DO BUY”
